Learn about the components of what makes Destination Imagination and talk among your community to meet with interested prospective team members and parents. Once you decide to participate, identify the person who will be the Destination Imagination School/Organization Contact Person. A contact to the Regional Director for your county will help point you to the right location.

Maryland DI is excited to offer a simplified all-in registration bundle for the 2026–2027 season. For one flat fee, your team is covered from your first practice through your regional tournament; no separate affiliate fee, no separate regional registration. Everything is included.

Additional fees throughout the MDDI Season:

• State Tournament Registration Fee: $140. This fee will cover the facility, supplies and awards. Deadline for the State Tournament Registration Fee is March 4th. 
• Late Registration Fee: $100. This fee will cover operating costs. Deadline for the late State Tournament Registration fee is March 7th.
• Missing Appraiser Fee: $250. This fee will cover operating costs. This applies to both Regional and State Tournaments.

• Read the challenge First Look previews, Rules of the Road, and the Roadmap to learn how the DI program works and what you need to do to have a successful team.
• Find a regulary occuring time period for the team managers and members to meet.
• Team Manager training is available in various forms:
