DI Board of Trustees Openings

The Destination Imagination Board of Trustees is seeking candidates to fill vacancies on its Board. The Board is seeking candidates who will help broaden the expertise and experience of the board in order to advance the mission of the organization—to engage participants in project-based challenges that are designed to build confidence and develop extraordinary creativity, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. DI’s BOT is looking to fill the following positions by May 31, 2019:

 

Development/Fundraising
Duties include: setting annual fundraising goals, identifying avenues for generating revenue, conducting and overseeing implementation of fundraising efforts, and evaluating the success of fundraising efforts. Candidate should understand the various/varied elements of fundraising, to recognize the importance of the relationship between an organization and its potential donors, and to construct and implement a strong fundraising plan/program for DI.

 

Finance (Certified Public Accountant)
Duties include: review of DI, Inc. financials, review and submission of an annual operating budget to the Board. Candidate should provide financial oversight for the organization including budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies.

 

Legal Professional (Attorney)
DI seeks a legal professional with expertise in corporate or nonprofit law and legal transactions. We seek a leader to provide legal guidance and assist Board with understanding the legal implications of DI’s activities and ensuring that the board understands relevant legal issues as a part of strategic planning and decision-making.
