It’s hard to believe that the next season of Destination Imagination is only a month away! From engineering a bridge live on stage to addressing a real need in your community, we will have seven new and exciting Team Challenges designed to help students tap into their creativity, learn how to work in teams, problem solve and have fun.
The full Team Challenges will be made available on August 1, 2019, when Team Numbers go on sale. In the meantime, check out our First Look document for an in-depth synopsis and scoring overview for each competitive Challenge.
Learning about Destination Imagination for the first time?
Destination Imagination (DI) is a project-based learning experience that applies the creative process across seven Challenge areas—technology, science, engineering, fine arts, improvisation, service learning and early learning—and is open to any team of students from kindergarten through university. By solving a Destination Imagination Team Challenge, students gain the 21st century skills needed to thrive in school, careers and beyond, including creative and critical thinking, collaboration and project management. In addition to solving a Challenge, teams have the opportunity to showcase their solutions at local tournaments and vie for a spot at Global Finals—the world’s largest celebration of creativity.
Check out our Challenge Program page to find out more about our project-based learning experiences and how you can provide your students or young ones with opportunities to help them explore their curiosities, expand on their creative abilities and develop essential 21st century skills.
