The Alumni Council (AC) is seeking three new members!
Has Destination Imagination been a major part of your life? Would you like to give back to the program in a way that fosters alumni involvement and ensures the program continues to serve the next generation of creative thinkers, doers and leaders? If you are passionate about helping Destination Imagination grow and thrive, we encourage you to apply for a position on our Alumni Ambassador Council.
The mission of the Alumni Council is to serve as a liaison between the global alumni network and Destination Imagination, Inc. by recruiting new alumni membership, engaging and supporting alumni worldwide, and aiding Affiliates in increasing alumni volunteer involvement in Destination Imagination. We are seeking three new alumni to join the AC this year.
This volunteer role carries significant weight and candidates should carefully review all volunteer expectations and reflect on their ability and willingness to commit before accepting a position. We are seeking candidates from all walks of life who are ready to bring their unique perspective and skills to join our team. Additionally, all applicants must be registered Alumni Ambassadors.

AC members are required to attend a monthly AC call as well as regular (typically monthly) subcommittee meetings and work on selected projects outside of meetings. The expected time commitment is approximately five hours per month, with the expectation that as Global Finals approaches the amount of time will increase. Additionally, those AC members who enter leadership roles (either on our Executive Committee or as a Committee Chair) should expect that time commitment to double. Those selected will begin shadowing the current AC in January and will be formally inducted at Global Finals in May. They will then serve a full four-year term (which will end with Global Finals 2023). Candidates should not proceed with the process if they feel they will be unable to serve a full term.
