One of NASA’s and the ShareSpace Foundation’s missions is to inspire and work with the next generation of innovators who will help astronauts live and work on Mars. These innovators will have the skills and creative minds like Destination Imagination participants, which is why we’re proud to have them as supporters, exhibitors and even teachers at our Global Finals Skills Workshops.
Though the feat of living and working on Mars is still many years away, NASA is getting closer with its InSight mission. Launching in March, the InSight lander will study the red planet’s deep interior. But it’s more than just a mission—it’s an opportunity for us to understand the processes that shaped the rocky planets of the inner solar system (including Earth) more than four billion years ago.
To celebrate, NASA is inviting you all to become Martian Flyers! Send your name to Mars by clicking here. The last day to register your name is September 8, 2015.
